The Chinese Dragon

Chinese dragons and their species. Unlike the negative energies associated with Western Dragons, most Eastern Dragons are beautiful, friendly, and wise. They are the angels of the land. Instead of being hated, they are loved and worshipped. Temples and shrines have been built to honor them, for they control the rain, rivers, lakes, and seas. Many Chinese cities have pagodas where people used to burn incense and pray to dragons. Ancient people the dragon was the Godess and could give them rain so that the crop would have good harvest.
The Eastern Dragon also means power, and that is what people want. Overall, the eastern has a big relationship with Chinese.

  1. I like your post "The Chinese Dragon," and it’s very interesting. How come the Western Dragons were friendly? Weren't all Dragon's the same and they hurt people on their time? Can you explain a little more how the Western Dragons were friendly and what they did that Chinese people worship them till now.

  2. Well, there is a big difference between Western and Eastern dragons. In East, the dragon is still powerful and supernatural, but they also have another identity as Goddess just like the good and evil Goddess in Ancient Greek culture. There are good dragons and evil dragons, but overall the Chinese dragon means justice and Goddress. They won't harm people directly, because they treated humans like little tiny creatures which don't worth them to harm.
Chinese Dragon did nothing, but just Chinese people like their great strength and superpower, they wish to have power.
I think that you messed up the word "Eastern" with "Western" lol.

  4. I really like your post about the chinese dragon, i had no idea that western dragons were supposed to stand for negative energies. I would love to see another post about just western dragons with some information on them. I also didn't realize how important the dragon was within the culture.
